En domstol i Myanmar har besluttet å løslatte 69 studentaktivister fra fengsel. – Jeg er så glad, sier en av aktivistene til NRK.<\/p>\n

Det utspant seg gledesscener i rettslokalet i Tharrawaddy da dommeren kunngjorde at de unge aktivistene kunne gå hjem, ett år etter at de ble arrestert under en demonstrasjon.<\/p>\n

Løslatelsen skjer dagen etter Aung San Suu Kyis lovnader om at den nye regjeringen i landet skal prioritere å løslate aktivister og politiske fanger.<\/p>\n

Torsdag sa Aung San Suu Kyi at alle politiske fanger i Myanmar kan bli løslatt i løpet av de neste to ukene.<\/p>\n

Kunngjøringen er Suu Kyis første offentlige uttalelse etter at hun for få dager siden ble utnevnt til såkalt statsrådsgiver, en stilling som i praksis er å anse som statsminister.<\/p>\n
